In South Australia, construction industry workers receive long service leave based on their service to the industry rather than to one employer.

If you make sure every employer you work for registers you with Construction Benefit Services, you will soon be enjoying a well deserved 13 week holiday!

The scheme covers workers, apprentices and casuals who work predominantly on site at least 3 days per month, performing work described in one of the following awards:

Your employer can voluntarily register you if you work off-site:

• under the Fibrous Plasterers (Factory) Award or,
• as a Carpenter, Joiner, Tradesperson, Machinist, Terrazzo Assistant, Factory Hand or Adult Trainee - Terrazzo Worker (1st six months) in the National Joinery and Building Trades Product Award 1993 (and you were previously paid under the Terrazzo & Concrete Casting Award).

Work can be performed on new or existing commercial, industrial or domestic buildings.
